Quality Policy – Align with Vision, Mission

To align to the defined vision, an organization needs to have a well defined strategy in place.

Quality Policy is one small step to tie up both Vision & Mission with the Operations. See below for an example.

Quality is essentially about learning what an organization is doing well and doing it better.

It also means finding out what organizations may need to change to make sure they meet the needs of their Customer /Business

Quality is about satisfying stakeholders’ expectations
- To deliver on time, and within cost
- Knowing what Organization wants to do and how to do it
- Learning from what Organizations do
- Using the learnings to develop the organization and its business
- Seeking to achieve continuous improvement

Example: Here is the Quality Policy Statement of Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited

We the employees of Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited are committed to achieve excellence in quality standards and always supply products as per global requirements.

We shall create an environment where each employee contributes to all aspects of our business processes. We shall strive for continuous improvement to meet with customer satisfaction

Organizations – Vision, Mission Statements

A Vision statement outlines what the organization wants to be.

It is a source of inspiration and provides clear decision-making criteria. While a vision statement doesn't tell, “how to get there”, it does set the direction for planning.

In other words Vision contributes to the long term plan for an organization. The statement of vision of what the organization is and can be, is an important step in getting an organization to pull together.

A Mission statement defines the fundamental purpose of the organization. It is the path that the organization will travel to achieve the Vision

For a sample, see the Vision & Mission statements of Infosys

Infosys Vision Statement
"To be a globally respected corporation that provides best-of-breed business solutions, leveraging technology, delivered by best-in-class people."

Infosys Mission Statement
"To achieve our objectives in an environment of fairness, honesty, and courtesy towards our clients, employees, vendors and society at large."
